The Polish Chitin Society is pleased to announce that the journal "Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives(PCACD) in the year 2023 received first Impact Factor (IF = 0.6).
Moreover, according to the communication of the Minister of Education and Science of July 17, 2023, on the list of scientific journals and reviewed materials from international conferences, the PCACD journal received 140 points.

The Polish Chitin Society took the honorary patronage the 5th Polish National Scientific Conference IMPLANTS 2023: Technologies, chemistry and medicine - in pursuit of the perfect implant, which will be held on May 18-20, 2023 in the Gdańsk University of Technology.

Encouraged by the successes of last year's editions, we are pleased to invite you to the 5th Polish National Scientific Conference IMPLANTS 2023: Technologies, chemistry and medicine - in pursuit of the perfect implant, the aim of which will be to present the current state of knowledge, bring together a group of researchers, doctors and entrepreneurs and create a forum for discussion on cooperation and progress in research and development in the field of orthopedics, cardiosurgery, tissue engineering, maxillofacial and dental engineering, biomechanics and medical equipment.
This year's edition of the IMPLANTY conference is organized by the Association of Universities of Daniel Fahrenheit, which are three Tri-City universities, i.e. the University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology and the Medical University of Gdańsk, and by the Scientific Club 'Materials in Medicine'. Our scientific committee will be chaired by prof. dr hab. Sylwia Rodziewicz-Motowidło.
Conference participants during plenary lectures, announcements, and discussions during poster sessions will have the opportunity to learn about the latest achievements in the field of modern implantology. Additionally, it is planned to present the current offer of companies from the biomedical industry on special demonstration stands.
The conference will take place on May 18-20, 2023 in the walls of the Gdańsk University of Technology in the picturesque city of Gdańsk, famous not only for its sea access but also full of monuments, museums and interesting architecture. Participation in the conference will therefore be an additional opportunity to get to know our university and see the attractions of this city
