We cordially invite you to participate in the XXVIII Conference of the Polish Chitin Society "NEW ASPECTS ON CHEMISTRY AND APPLICATION OF CHITIN AND ITS DERIVATIVES".
The conference will be held in Gdańsk on September 25-27, 2023
Conference venue: Hotel Orle Centrum Konferencyjne (https://www.orle.com.pl).
Conference language - English.
Registration should be made via APPLICATION FORM available on the PTChit website from March 1, 2023 to July 30, 2023, additionally providing the title and authors of the presentation or poster.
The abstract of the presentation should be prepared using a template
Conference fee:
The conference fee is 1000 PLN.
The discount fee for Ph.D. students, students, and pensioners is 850 PLN.
The conference fee should be sent to July 31, 2023 to the Society's account:

The conference fee covers:
- conference materials (book of abstracts in on-line version)
- all meals (lunch, dinner),
- gala dinner,
- conference trip.
The cost does not include the hotel fee.
Hotel fee:
Single room 357 PLN / day / with breakfast
Double room 378 PLN / day / with breakfast
ATTENTION - changes in booking accommodation!!!
For the purposes of the conference, 15 double and 10 single rooms have been pre-booked at the Orle Hotel until August 31, 2023. You have to book accommodation by contacting the Hotel (contact details) by August 31, 2023, referring to the Polish Chityn Society. After running out the limit of rooms or after August 31, 2023, the organizer does not guarantee accommodation availability.
Due to the ongoing season, the reservation should be paid for within 7 working days and is not subject to cancellation.
Additional fees:
– local tax collected for each commenced day of stay payable in cash at the hotel reception: PLN 2.80/day/person
– paid guarded car park: PLN 12/day for a passenger car

GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATION
Each presenter will be given a time slot of 20 minutes in total, which is distributed as 15 minutes of presentation and
5 minutes of answering questions from the auditorium. Prepare your slides as a PowerPoint or a PDF file.
GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION
Your poster should have the following dimensions: maximum A1 format - 59.4 cm wide x 84.1 cm high.
The poster board on which you place your poster will be marked with your identification number given in the Conference Book.
Other important information
The conference schedule will be available on the PTChit website at the beginning of September.
On September 25, registration for the conference will be open from 4 pm at the Hotel Orle (8 Lazurowa St.). On this day, there will be a dinner for conference participants from 7 to 9 pm. The conference oral presentations will start on September 26 at 9 am.
